Our free starter pack includes a Bullshift TV video on The Ladder of Relationships and the first Module of exercises & self reflection.
The Bullshift Core Aims
The Ladder of Relationships
We explore the four levels of the Ladder - Collaborative, Cooperative, Competitive, and Adversarial ; what each level looks and feels like, what makes people go up and down, and how to lift our working relationships up.
The Point Curve
We use this simple and effective communication tool to get collectively better at determining when to act on issues and opportunities. We explore the benefits of addressing issues early (Point Easy), and collaborating at Point Hard. We work on creating conditions in which people feel safer to have the smaller conversations sooner and other ways to keep issues down the Curve.
Subtext to Text
When the words, voice, and body are all saying the same thing, the message is in the Text. When the words say one thing, and the voice and body say something else, we have Subtext. We explore why people communicate in Subtext, the impact it has on communication, and how we might improve our ability to get the Subtext up into the Text.
Shadow to Best Self
The more aware we are of what drives our thoughts, emotions, and actions, the more we can be in Best Self. When we are low on self-awareness, we are more easily triggered, and more likely to get stuck in Shadow. We talk about how to improve our speed of recovery from Shadow to Best Self, how to support each other through Shadowy moments, and how to help the whole team spend more time in Best Self.

What is The Shift Shed?
The Shift Shed is your on-demand toolkit for clear, open and honest communication, with videos, audio, reading, Culture Conversation agendas and downloadable resources.
Use it as a personal toolkit, a team rhythm, or an organisation-wide culture tool.
Where did The Shift Shed come from?
When COVID hit, we produced videos to help us deliver programs online.
As the resources improved, we asked: What if people could learn Bullshift online, through conversations with each other, and without an external facilitator?
We wanted as many people as possible to have access, so we made it a low, one-off fee of $39.
Who is The Shift Shed for?
Individuals, leaders and managers, and teams who want shared language and practical habits that stick.
You can use it for self-development, coaching, inductions, performance reviews and team culture conversations.
Do I need to be part of an organisation to purchase?
No, anyone can purchase access to The Shift Shed.
Many people use it for personal leadership development, coaching, or improving communication at work (even if their organisation hasn’t adopted it yet).
Where do I start?
Start with Episode 1 of Bullshift TV.
From there you can go through the modules in order, or jump straight to the tools you need right now.
What’s included?
25 Bullshift TV episodes, 8 audio episodes, the e-version of the Bullshift book, Team Shifty and InductionMate resources, and downloadable posters, scripts and summaries.
How does pricing work?
$39 per person, paid once.
Each person has their own login. There are no subscriptions or renewals.
For how long will I have access?
There’s no renewal required. It’s not a subscription, so you’ll have access for as long as The Bullshift Company continues to operate the platform.
Our legal commitment is to provide access for at least six months from the time of purchase.
If I change workplaces, will I be able to maintain access?
Yes, just change the email address in your Shift Shed account before you leave your workplace.
Can I sign up my whole team?
Yes. Purchase the number of licences you need at checkout.
After purchase, you’ll be taken to your admin portal where you can add users.
If you want help setting it up, email [email protected].
How do we sign up our entire organisation?
Purchase multiple licences (quantities) at checkout.
Once complete, you’ll be taken to your own admin portal where you can add and manage users.
We’re happy to support you at any step and guide you through the process. Email [email protected].
Can we get a discount if it’s thousands of people?
No, the price is $39 per person.
We already think that’s awesome value, and we keep it the same for everyone.
What happens if we buy licences and some staff don’t log in?
Once you’ve purchased the licences, it’s up to the purchaser to encourage people to access the platform.
Even if only a portion of staff engage, the value is usually realised through the people who do watch, run Culture Conversations and apply the tools.
To keep it simple, we don’t refund unused licences.
How do I get my staff to log in and use it?
We recommend:
1) Start with Episode 1 as a shared baseline.
2) Book a 30-minute Culture Conversation (Team Shifty) within the first two weeks.
3) Agree on one simple action to practise as a team.
4) Repeat monthly or fortnightly.
If you’d like help building a rollout plan, email [email protected].
How might you use The Shift Shed for performance reviews?

The person completes the module, then you discuss it in the Performance Review and agree on practical actions.

New starters watch Episode 1, then have a Culture Conversation with their manager. Repeat weekly or fortnightly and integrate it with your onboarding plan.
