What do you need to get started?
We provide our BTV Series, Culture Conversation guides, the Bullshift book, along with practical tools and resources. What do you need to provide?

A Team
We recommend team sizes between 2 – 15 people. It works for both face to face and remote teams.

A Program Organiser
Someone who brings the team together for a Culture Conversation, during Team Meetings or as standalone sessions (we recommend every fortnight).

An Hour for Culture
The team watches one of our hilarious BTV Episodes and then comes together for a short structured 30 minute Culture Conversation.
How it works
A 20–30 minute video teaches a principle and habit with humour.
Use our guided meeting agenda to practice as a team (30 mins). We provide all the resources, and it removes the need for an external facilitator.
One small, practical behaviour to try that week. The team works together on their commitments between sessions, helping to create lasting changes.
Start - Lift Your Workplace Relationships
Every team faces the same very human hurdles. This course gives people practical tools to build and sustain strong relationships, surface issues early and address them directly, communicate with clarity and honesty, and develop the self-awareness needed to self-regulate under pressure.
The Ladder of Relationships
We explore the four levels of the Ladder - Collaborative, Cooperative, Competitive, and Adversarial - what each level looks and feels like, what makes people go up and down, and how to lift our working relationships up.
The Point Curve
We use this simple and effective communication tool to get collectively better at determining when to act on issues and opportunities. We explore the benefits of addressing issues early (Point Easy), and collaborating at Point Hard. We work on creating conditions in which people feel safer to have the smaller conversations sooner and other ways to keep issues down the Curve.
Embedder Module
We look at how the Point Curve and The Ladder of Relationships interconnect, and how lifting our Relationships up the Ladder helps us to keep issues down the Curve.
Subtext to Text
When the words, voice, and body are all saying the same thing, the message is in the Text. When the words say one thing, and the voice and body say something else, we have Subtext. We explore why people communicate in Subtext, the impact it has on communication, and how we might improve our ability to get the Subtext up into the Text.
Shadow to Best Self
The more aware we are of what drives our thoughts, emotions, and actions, the more we can be in Best Self. When we are low on self-awareness, we are more easily triggered, and more likely to get stuck in Shadow. We talk about how to improve our speed of recovery from Shadow to Best Self, how to support each other through Shadowy moments, and how to help the whole team spend more time in Best Self.
Embedder Module
We look at how Subtext may be a sign of operating in Shadow, and how getting the Subtext into the Text can help us to be in Best Self and how being in Best Self and communicating in Text are connected to being up the Ladder and down the Curve.
Build - 4 Habits to Get Clear
Cut the vagueness with 4 Habits to Get Clear. This course helps your team spot and fix unclear, sloppy or missing communication so everyone leaves conversations aligned on purpose, roles and next steps. You’ll learn one simple principle and four practical habits you can use immediately to reduce stress, waste and rework.
Check In
How a person feels can have a tremendous impact on what they hear and how they respond. Checking In helps us to understand a person’s state before we start a meeting or conversation with them. It also helps people to focus on the purpose of the meeting and connect with the people around them, which improves the quality of the communication.
Inform, Discuss, Decide (IDD)
Good decisions come from useful information and robust discussion. Practising the Habit Inform, Discuss, Decide improves our decision-making and enables people to contribute more effectively at each stage of the process.

Use the Right Tool
We explore the use and misuse of six verbal tools: Statement, Question, Suggestion, Request, Instruction, Demand. We look at the purpose of each, why we sometimes use one when we mean another, and how — when the tools are used effectively — we can help everyone to GET CLEAR.
Clarify & Verify
A lack of clarity leads to stress, waste and conflict. We encourage people to make it a normalised behaviour of the team’s culture to Clarify and Verify. Clarify - check you understand. Verify - check they understand. It saves time, reduces misunderstandings, and improves Collaboration.
